This exhibition presents two sculptural textile works created from silk that are hand dyed through multiple stages, using a range of techniques and draped into form. Each piece has been shaped and coaxed into fluid formations, referencing distinct natural elements. One carries the breath and movement of air. The other embodies the shifting tides and emotional pull of water. Together they hold a dialogue between weightlessness and submersion, suspension and surrender.
These works explore the transformation that follows heartbreak. A moment when the self is split open and everything familiar dissolves. Yet something within endures. You return to yourself still recognizable but altered at the core. The rupture becomes a site of transmutation, where the raw interior material of experience is refined into unexpected brilliance.
Life is shaped by an equilibrium of lightness and darkness. This balance is mirrored in the tension between expansion and collapse held within the forms.
What remains is a testament to becoming and the way change reshapes without erasing, and of how the heart can be remade into something brighter than before.
